Its twenty percent in the US. I base this on the only numbers where a general slice of people can be found. The US military number on people with NPD. Everyone in the military gets a psychiatric evaluation. Their numbers are a little over twenty percent for narcissistic personality disorder. The reported number in the US for that are .5 percent.

The simple reason why you don't have higher numbers is a narc fears exposure worse than breath itself. You can spot them or their victims by the knee jerk 'We don't believe in therapy' when talking about getting help. The narc will try to convince their supply, their victims that therapy is bad.

Its a sure bet many of the people causing all the pain and suffering in the US today are narcs. They hate empathy since it prevents them from getting their supply. They will say shit like empathy is a sin. A trumpanzee said something like that recently. If you know what the signs they are easy to spot.

Well the good news is that it's way less than half of humanity. Most of humanity consists of nice respectable people that sometimes have disagreements.

Then there is a sliver of criminals that steal your car, for example. These are assholes

Then there is a tiny sliver of narcissistic psychopathic people that steal everything, give back nothing, cause nothing but misery and death and then tell you it's your fault. These are the scum of the earth and we should leave them with nothing so that they know how it is.

For many minorities there is a lot more than a sliver of humanity that hold very hateful views against them. Like, I'm not saying that most people are homophobic but it's an awful damn lot.

I’m going to say like 95% of humanity. And I’m really talking worldwide, not just US. We have been made apathetic. The world would be better if the average person cared more.

I think a lot of it is overload from the Internet. Our brains are simply not designed to handle the unfathomably immense, endless torrent of information.

It happened on a much smaller scale before, the common trope of younger people being more idealistic and it generally fading away as the years go by. But now that progression is happening at hyper speed, and it's getting faster daily.

This isn't fuvking passive. This is actively cultivated by the fuckers who control the algorithms, because it makes it easier to turn us against our own interests so we can be exploited.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

It's from many directions. Yes there are people owning social media who contribute to it, but also foreign powers use this for warfare against West. They managed to turn country's own population to act against their own interest and against their government.

It isn't just US that is being attacked this way, it is the whole West.

not just the us

Yeah i really loved the utopian earth in 'echopraxia'. Totally want to live there.

But thats kind of my main point; this isnt passive, it's something being done by interested parties manipulating us largely via toxic algorothms that act as force multipliers for propaganda and one:many control.

And if another person tells me it's 'human nature' im going to scream for like two minutes then grab the nearest sharp object and kill one of us with it. (Thank you for not doing that)

Its not even just the nature of this technology. This didnt happen even to heavy users in the first 20 years 9f internet.

I am going to say 99% of the wealthy people in charge of media could care less about humanity. This creates an illusion that this is normal since all our media echoes their sentiments. The world would be a better place if they were not in charge.

the wealthy people in charge of media could not care less about humanity

I will remember that for when I write a formal piece. Thanks Grammar Nazi!

[–] [email protected] 6 points 2 days ago

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 days ago

Western supremacy can only exist in the absence of humanity.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Westerns are fucking awesome, pardner

[–] [email protected] 5 points 3 days ago

Can't argue with that!

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Monotheism is a mind-virus.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (1 children)

Do you even know any? 🤔 Trinitarians (so any Christians) are man-worshipping polytheists. The message of Jesus didn't survive Rome, not without being fundamentally changed at least...

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Council of Nicea decreed the "trinity is one", I believe? As in Yahweh, the holy toast, and Jeebus are all the same?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 days ago (1 children)

It became the imperial creed after the Roman pantheon, it had to have some polytheism and manlike deities! More importantly, "believing in Jesus Christ" and not good deeds (faith without works, there's a whole argument about it in the Bible), became the new stairway to Heaven...

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 days ago

The origin story of the "indulgences"?

[–] [email protected] 5 points 3 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (1 children)

I guess? At the same time I don’t want to live in a world where you can’t tell jokes on a stage or where a bunch of white North American kids are diving in to defend my brown ass from funny jokes about my race that I enjoy

Edit: you white kids trying to tell me what to be offended about is just as racist as the racists

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 days ago

The trend seems to be that being a bigot on stage, while saying you can't say these things, while saying them, is a way to get mega popular and loads of money.

Now criticizing israel's genocide, or saying the palestinians deserve to live, are the way to get the government, and organized minions, to destroy your life.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) (1 children)

Is that referring to something specific?

Half of humanity is a lot of people. Does she mean half of americans?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) (5 children)

To the ones upvoting this post: Do you, though?

I've politely asked people not to share blown up, screen-wide pictures on this site of my common phobia when it's unrelated to the post and I've been straight up downvoted and insulted, being told I'm exaggerating and "defective".

Phobias are not exaggerations, they can make people do shit because the reaction is visceral when unexpected. I get headaches and feel like shit after. One of my middle school teachers shared that she once almost jumped off a roof when she saw a cat behind her.

E: Aaaand downvotes. 😂 Practice what you preach.

[–] [email protected] 12 points 3 days ago (8 children)

Phobias are by their nature irrational, some level of personal responsibility falls on you to protect yourself when going online.
