If I was a non Israeli Jew, I would be PISSED at Israel for that exact reason.

I won't say the same of Israelis, because looking at the percentages who are pro leave no Palestinians alive, they seem too much like a blood lusted cult to care about the opinions of.

And yes I know the Palestinians feel the same way, but the party with the bigger stick matters and always shoulders the burden of wielding that stick responsibly, and Israel has no interest in that.

Eh.

Surface and shallow water life will suffer, but there's plenty of life beyond that bigger than tardigrades that will supplant us eventually.

I always point out that the capitalist robber barons profit directly from having a pre-born, pre-literate workforce pool, they just want it for free.

Part of their whole socialism for costs capitalism for profits thing.

I say this as a now old person at 40, that's hypocritical bullshit as far as policy goes, but that's humans for you.

Which why is this being limited to one inquisition from one nation?

The DNC and the top of the party would MUCH rather lose to the Fascists across the aisle they have a corpo bribe sharing agreement with than win with a candidate that campaigns on bringing accountability to those wealthy bribers.

Or to put it another way, Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer would lock arms with Republicans and treat President AOC, for example, the way most Democrat voters wish they were treating Trump. Scorched earth, not a single meeting, not a single appointment, just bill after bill trying to strip all Presidential power until a hypercapitalist sits in the chair again.

Neoliberals are much closer to Republicans than they are to anything resembling a leftwing, politically. The only thing that separates them is not actively pointing and laughing at you when they hurt you to line their pockets, they just shrug, call it market forces, and hand you an affirmation ribbon you can neither eat nor live inside.

Which is why this nation is beyond repair and we need to force collapse and start over, with a constitution barring capital markets and any profit sharing that isn't tied to working/laboring for what's being profited from. Speculative investment is cancer that breeds sociopathy, division, and death ☠️. No neoliberal or fascist is against the for profit deathcare confidence scheme we call American healthcare for all but the wealthy. They're both paid to defend it from us.

Spent 10 years driving around in a city with a lot of retirement communities setting up home medical equipment. Was a daily blight for me.

Should be every 2 years past age 60 if you want to keep your license.

Sorry, for every 20 year old doing 90, there's ten seniors wobbling between 2 lanes in a giant SUV intentionally purchased to protect them from the accidents their diminished capacity will cause, about to do a double lane change in the opposite direction of their blinker that's been on since they left their driveway.

Ive always found it bonkers that young drivers with the sharpest reflexes are punished to the maximum from insurance to rental car rates, as they should, while no one dares punitive action against people who literally lack the faculties to drive safely if they wanted to and incur the wrath of AARP and the like. But those necrotic seniors make the rules, sadly. They can cause accidents with abandon, but some thing's gotta be done about those young maniacs on the road driving 10 over the speed Limit as you drive 30 under it with white, arthritic knuckles on the steering wheel for dear life, calling your impromptu roadblock "safe."

I can safely say fire was discovered, not invented by man.

Murkowski openly admitted that she and her Republican colleagues were “all afraid” of “retaliation” from Trump, as she criticized his policies.

Ah yes the "family values" party here to yet again "save the children" from librul strangeness.

Imagine mourning and having concern specifically for the very metastatic cancer that's killing you.

Millions of Americans across the country are on alert for a severe weather outbreak with violent, long-track tornadoes with damaging winds of up to 80 mph and large hail.

They aren't the primary villains, but they're sure as shit the bumbling secondary antagonists.

I phone banked on two Sanders campaigns. This didn't start with Trump or even in most of our lifetimes. Both parties, and yes most voters of both of them, would rather set the country on fire than have anything resembling economic equity or someone having their basic needs met without a subjective judgement of "deserving" it. We could have ended homelessness inexpensively at any time under any administration, we could have made prison rehabilitative, it would have literally saved the country money to invest in both, yet I've heard more Democrats and Republicans speak of such desperate populations as the problem instead of the society that put them there.

This collapse was a choice we made over and over again.
