that's not even mallninjashit--more like backwoods redneck flea market discount bin shit

I've seen gas stations with a wider selection of knives than an actual knife store, that's no insult.

His followers can't afford mallninjashit.

[–] [email protected] 51 points 5 months ago (3 children)

I tried to mess with the customer support, but they stayed way too nice, so I felt bad and stopped. .__.

[–] [email protected] 16 points 5 months ago

Just a good business who found a good business

[–] [email protected] 12 points 5 months ago

When the grifter has a better customer support than most retail websites...

The day after Trump loses:

  • PatriotAddictDeals.com closes shop
  • PatriotAddictBargains.net opens for business
  • PatriotAddictBargains sales rep: "Sorry, sir, we are a completely different company in a very real and legally-binding sense, and cannot honor a refund for your Trump NFT Ninja Sword. We can, however, offer you a limited-time 10% off coupon for this handsome Trump Ninja Sword display case."

Made in China with the latest in Tin technology

[–] [email protected] 36 points 5 months ago* (last edited 5 months ago) (1 children)

You know it's a real combat knife because it has a bottle opener built in. I'm maybe even kidding.

[–] [email protected] 16 points 5 months ago* (last edited 5 months ago) (2 children)

Isn't that a belt cutter? (hook knife)

You can also see the glass breaker, it's very common for these knifes to have a belt cutter and a glass breaker

[–] [email protected] 42 points 5 months ago* (last edited 5 months ago) (2 children)

Dual purpose. Actually I tried to look up what they list it as and all I came away with is the perfect discovery of it's pricepoint:

"20% off"

[–] [email protected] 26 points 5 months ago (1 children)

So they’re offering 20% off the $69 price? Because 185 -> 69 is more than 20%. So then it’s just a clearance item. A shitty clearance knife.

[–] [email protected] 33 points 5 months ago (3 children)

189 -> 69 is also not a $135 savings

[–] [email protected] 20 points 5 months ago (1 children)

20% off $69 makes it $55. $190-$55 is $135 savings.

The savings seem correct, it's just really confusing.

Everything about it is obviously wrong. I've never seen a better metaphor for american conservatives.

Exactly what it looks like, yeah.

Which, as far as I've ever heard it, would make it a "folding utility knife". I've also never seen a combat knife without a fixed blade, because... "Hold on let me just unfold my pocket knife so I can combat you!"

Any folding knife, again, as far as I've ever seen, would be more likely to be called a tactical knife. Which is just another word for utility folder IMO.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Tati-cool. Useless in practice.

If anyone would be able to tell the difference between a "combat" knife and a fucking "pocket knife", you would think it would be the y'all quaeda brigade of Trump supporters. But the fact that they'll buy this shit up in droves despite knowing damn well it's not what it's advertised as just points to how brainwashed these cultists are.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 5 months ago (2 children)

A Pocket knife is one of these: https://www.victorinox.com/de-CH/Produkte/Schweizer-Taschenmesser/Mittlere-Taschenmesser/Swiss-Champ/p/1.6795

I will not accept or tolerate linguistic differences as an excuse, you're being assimilated. Aswissilated if you want so. This is now a pocket knife, everything else not. I have spoken in my full authority as a owner of one of these.

Hope you have a lovely day, fellow pocket-knife owners.

[–] [email protected] 13 points 5 months ago (2 children)

That, good sir, is a Swiss Army Knife.

This is a pocket knife.

This is a combat knife.

and this is a hunting knife.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 5 months ago* (last edited 5 months ago)

Outside of the US or at least outside of English, a Swiss Army Knife is known as a pocket knife, and they're not always Swiss-made either. As you can see from Victorinox's own website (and they are the official manufacturer of what Americans call the Swiss Army Knife - which, indeed, got famous because it was used by the Swiss army), they call it a Taschenmesser, where Tasche translates to pocket and... I think you can guess what Messer translates to.

I am not going to that URL, but I'm predicting that even at "20%" off that knife is a bad deal.

Resident knife dweeb here. You all know me; my credentials are in my post history. I am a veritable connoisseur of crap exactly like this.

These twerps can cry "patriot" as much as they want, but this is a piece of shit OEM knife from China. The factory will do you any printing you want on the handle for a trivial upcharge. For instance, this looks an awful lot like the Top Quest T27019 (page 5, catalog here) or myriad other similar knockoff junk. The unit cost on this type of thing is about $2 each in bulk, for instance like this. Give me half an hour and I can probably figure out who the actual supplier is.

Some rat bastard is laughing all the way to the bank with these.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 5 months ago (4 children)

In case you were wondering, they are charging $69, while saying you're saving "$100+"

They're also saying it's a limited-stock item with only 150 ever made. Sure, buddy.

They're also selling a pack of crappy trump-themed memorabilia, a plane model, a blanket that's supposedly "Trump" themed but has no trump branding, and a crappy electric lighter I've seen thousands of on Aliexpress.

MRW I enter political memes to dunk on trump and find all the knife people in here making good points.

[–] [email protected] 14 points 5 months ago (2 children)

That looks like a knife that came with the cheap walmart-brand survival kit that I bought to keep in my car.

It is horrible. Worst knife I have ever bought.

But it does have the seatbelt cutter and the glass breaker just like the one here. I think you can get it for a few bucks separately from the kit.

Is... Is this real? I can no longer tell from this side of the pond

[–] [email protected] 9 points 5 months ago (3 children)

Yes. America has well and truly become a parody of itself.

I don't even know anymore and I'm over here.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 5 months ago (4 children)

Just a money grab. You really are trying to make it into something it's not.

[–] [email protected] 24 points 5 months ago (12 children)

nope. i've personally met people who think they're ready for combat and then showed me one of these 10$ gas station bullshit "knives"

trump followers are exactly that type of person

[–] [email protected] 21 points 5 months ago

That's why it's a really good cash grab. They're selling $5 knives with the word trump printed on them for $70 dollars after a 50% discount. They say the knives are rare (only 150 ever made or some bs). their 5 iq brains will be all over this shit

[–] [email protected] 9 points 5 months ago

Even a bullshit knife can cut you.

A money grab for sure but not just... His base is openly getting ready to reclaim the election they already "know" will be stolen. Golden Sneakers and "my" bible are cash grabs ok; combat knife...

This just reminds me of Rwanda where right before the big one, they started distributing machetes which then were used to chop the opposition to death...

But of course trump wouldn't do that... Without trying to scam his own voters first, at least.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Is a foldable combat knife a good idea? I'd think you'd want the blade to be fixed

[–] Case 6 points 5 months ago

Yes, one would normally prefer a fixed blade.

However, depending on local laws, that may not be possible to carry.

That reminds me, I'm moving soon, I need to check out some various laws for the new place.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 5 months ago

It's probably cheap soft steel made in China. You're probably fine.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 5 months ago (2 children)

Fwiw, I don't think the knife is directly affiliated with Trump; I think they just bought the ad space. I could be wrong though.

Also, that's not a combat knife. Thats a cheap no-name pocket knife.

Aaaaaand this pales in comparison to all the firearms you can find with Trump's face engraved on them.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 5 months ago (4 children)

I mean I'm voting against Trump but the temptation to grift his followers is present in the back of my mind!

[–] [email protected] 7 points 5 months ago

I won't lose any sleep over it. Thinking about spraypainting trump on some old pallet wood and selling them on etsy as 'patriot planks' for $150 a piece.

Is that a "combat knife"? Cause it looks like the box cutter I use at work

Wild that everyone is focusing on the absurdity of selling knives, as opposed to the url being PatriotAddictDeals.com

Little bit of Insider Baseball on knives. Anytime a knife doesn't list the blade steel, I assume we're looking at 7Cr17MOV, 440C, or D2 with a bad heat treat. That price point is quite a bit higher than these cheap Chinese steels. Just another "True Patriot" grift. Pocket knives are cool tools and there are a slew of American brands that won't break by cutting into cardboard. These Trump Combat Knives will last a couple months maybe.
