Can't wait to see how TSLA stocks prices will react once people realize what an amazing target Musk's own fleet will be for vandalism and public furor:D

not to mention all the Musky Bro-Hoes getting hurt because they trusted FSD when it most definitely was not self driving.
Call for an uber, driverless tesla pulls up. Call a tow truck, don't cancel the order. "Yeah hi, thanks for showing up. Yeah I dunno, it just pulled up here and it's blocking my driveway."
No, don’t so that. Without cancelling, it looks intentional.
Call uber, but put traffic cones everywhere. Cancel because it can’t make it. Call tow truck to report stuck Tesla.
These things will drive thru walls, deer and all sorts of things. I am not sure putting cones up everywhere will have any effect.
Not just deer. Cyclists too.
I would not trust a robo-taxi that relies entirely on cameras. It really does need lidar/radar and other sensors to work well.
I don't care if it has LIDAR. I wouldn't trust a tesla.
I find it hilarious that my vacuum has lidar and cameras to avoid obstacles, but Tesla can't be bothered
Tesla used to have it, but they removed it since Elon Musk only wanted them to use cameras. They even went as far as to send a software update to older cars to disable the extra sensors and only use the cameras.
It's so Elon can save money
Meep meep
It helps, but humans function without LIDAR (though it can be helpful to them too). I am confident that it is technically possible to drive with just a camera, given sufficient image processing. Is our image processing in 2025 sufficient for the task? That I don't know.
Have you seen the recent video where a tesla fell for a wile e. coyote wall?
I got you fam, I posted a link for the person you responded to.

Wile E. Coyote...
I mean I don't like Tesla either and I agree that they should use Lidars but how is a Lidar supposed to solve this issue? It's still a solid surface and the Lidar will still pick it up.
That's the entire point of Mark's test, Tesla doesn't use LIDAR anymore, just plain cameras. LIDAR wouldn't be fooled by such a painted wall, but apparently typical cameras can indeed be fooled.
It's similar to facial recognition unlock, if it doesn't use some form of 3D cameras or sensors, then just a simple photo of you is enough to unlock your phone.
Oh whoops, I misunderstood what the video was supposed to show. Yea that tracks.
The issue isn't image processing, but the logic of these systems. The algorithms/models running autonomous vehicles aren't smart or flexible enough. The current type of systems just aren't advanced enough.
humans function without LIDAR
The point of a self-driving car is to be better than a human, and see things that humans don't see (like obstacles that are obscured by fog or rain)
Go watch Mark Robers video driving through a wall and tell me how you feel
Are there a lot of fake painted walls in California?
No, but sense of depth for collision detection feels like bare minimum in 2025.
There will be.
There is fog and rain, which it also failed at.
Also, their cameras have missed light colored trailers, mistaking them for sky. So it doesn't take much to be like the fake painted wall.
Lmao the point is not the wall, the point is the inadequate tech
You should definitely ride in Teslas autonomous taxis if they are ever made.
That's convenient. Now I can just have them come to me to be vandalized.
The CPUC is corporate bought and paid for (e.g. NEM 3.0).
Absolute waste of space except that they're the only speed bump to so many things. So I guess we've got that going for us.
Autonomous mobile fash cameras. What's the worst thing that happened LOL.
Cash sales of ski masks are going to spike.
And now we have the "Wile E. Coyote carrier permit"...
Tesla fleet vs cones
They really want to make me afraid to leave my home.
