Yeah the symmetry seems satisfying, but doesn't really stand up to scrutiny if you actually think it through.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 3 months ago

yeah, in current year, three of them would be screaming "holy shit, three liberals!"

[–] [email protected] 55 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago) (4 children)

I've never seen a socialist call an anarchist a liberal, and I've been both at various points. Also you forgot the liberal calling all 4 radicals and terrorists.

[–] [email protected] 22 points 3 months ago (1 children)

You're not hanging out in campist spaces enough. I have been snarled at and banned from hexbear comms for "liberalism"

[–] [email protected] 12 points 3 months ago (2 children)

Over the last ~10 years i have spent a shitload of my not-insignificant amount of free time in various far-left spaces on the internet, but I suppose I haven't seen every last crazy mofo out there. Also, calling an opinion 'liberalism' is different than calling an anarchist a liberal.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 3 months ago

I assure you when you're snarled at, it's "liberal"

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 months ago (1 children)

A lot of people got trolled by hexbear users when they migrated here from Reddit by posting pictures of pigshit and calling anyone mad about it a shitlib.

Some are still angry, two years on.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Ah, what a lovely bunch of human beings. Sorry on behalf of we leftists who aren't giant flaming assholes.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 3 months ago

Doesn't bother me at least. Online assholes are the default state, which means I just get to be happy when I interact with civil people.

[–] [email protected] 18 points 3 months ago (1 children)

You must not have spent much time on .ml or hexbear.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 3 months ago (2 children)

I have not, but I spent a shitload of time over the past ~10 years in numerous leftist spaces on Reddit and elsewhere. I suppose there's a chance the socialists on those instances are more cranky and less accurate than everywhere else on the internet, but I'm skeptical.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 months ago

Go make a comment skeptical of North Korean, Chinese, or Russian propaganda on either of those instances and you’ll be swarmed by the smoothest of brains.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 3 months ago

They are here particularly due to their "crankiness"

[–] [email protected] 12 points 3 months ago (1 children)

never been to lemmy.ml or hexbear?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 months ago (2 children)

I have not, is that where all the leftists are on lemmy?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 months ago

Tankies. The .ml is short for Marxism-Leninism. Leftists for sure, but they get very nasty if you criticize China or voice anarchist thought, and will definitely call you a liberal for it.

I'm generalizing of course, there's many different people there. But campism is definitely huge.

lemmy.ml is the most popular one, there is also hexbear and lemmygrad.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 months ago

Nah .ml is part of the Tankie Triad, run by hardcore tankies who claim that they are the only "true leftists"

If you want to see documentation of their words, actions and censoring checkout [email protected]

[–] [email protected] 10 points 3 months ago (1 children)

The hammer and sickle is a tankie symbol. Tankies call everyone they disagree with a lib, which absolutely includes anarchists.

[–] [email protected] 18 points 3 months ago (2 children)

The hammer and sickle is a socialist symbol, of which tankies are a tiny subset, if you're even using the word correctly (to mean people who unironically support everything authoritarian communist regimes do), which I doubt on the basis of your 'knowledge' of socialist symbols. Also I'm an anarchist, and while we have our disagreements, I've never been called a liberal by anyone on the left.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 3 months ago (1 children)

The symbol originates from Soviet Union, and was adopted by other "socialist" regimes around the world, so I guess describing it as a 'symbol of authoritarian socialist regimes' would be more accurate idk

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 months ago

It is also the symbol of many socialist movements, some of which has some pretty major issues with said socialist regimes around the world, so no, that wouldn't be more accurate. It's just a socialist symbol.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 3 months ago

lol ok buddy

[–] [email protected] 13 points 3 months ago (2 children)

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 months ago

trabillionaire don't care

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

"AGI to run all systems and implemented in all mobile robotics for manual labor, kill all the poors, problem solved! Just be sure the AI has emotions, I'm going to need something else to hurt when all the poors are dead."

[–] [email protected] 5 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Google ~~en passant~~ „soziale Marktwirtschaft“

[–] [email protected] 5 points 3 months ago

you mustn't say such perverted things on this public forum!

[–] [email protected] 19 points 3 months ago

As an anarchist myself, I would not call libertarians or state communists fascists. All 3 are bad, but in different ways and for different reasons.

And if we're standing against fascists, I'll stand side-by-side with a communist or a libertarian. But I'll never stand side-by-side with a fascists against anyone for any reason.

[–] [email protected] 17 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Holy shit, three people who are full of shit.

You know which three. Don't make me spell it out which one is spot on.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 3 months ago

Dessalines just gave you months long bans from 4 unrelated .ml communities.

[–] [email protected] 15 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Holy shit! Two symbols drawn wrong (Anarchy & Nazi Swazi)!

[–] [email protected] 9 points 3 months ago

it's the nazis from the mirrorverse.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 3 months ago (2 children)

Oh my god .... four Authoritarians

[–] [email protected] 37 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Anarchism is authoritarianism?

[–] [email protected] 7 points 3 months ago

I must take absolute control to tell you to relax and drink plenty of water.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Anarchists are kinda the exact opposite of authoritarians....

[–] [email protected] 1 points 3 months ago (2 children)

That is not an anarchist symbol, silly

[–] [email protected] 3 points 3 months ago (1 children)

What's the circle A supposed to be here, then?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 3 months ago

My miatake. Apparently, that one is used. I've always known it with the horizontal line of the A extending to the circle's edge.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Wait, what's the anarchist symbol?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 3 months ago

On Searching for anarchy symbol, that one does show up (my miatake). I've always seen & known it with the center line of the A extending to (& often past) the circle's edge. Punk rawk style.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 3 months ago

Is Gadsden representing Libertarians or Conservatives here? But still why would they be separate from Nazis who would be screaming socialist as well? The Nazis and the bedrock of their support was in their anti-communism.
