If nobody's ever paid you to play it, how would you know it was a good game 🀨

When they start playing Master Boot Record in shops, I'll just climb into an ice floe and punt myself to oblivion.

I do benefit from reading these accounts. Helps ground me. My kid sometimes makes me feel like he's completely unglued, an assiduous non-participant in consensus reality. "Mayonnaise is spicy," or he will calmly inform me that "my favourite green thing is nobody because nobody is green". Doesn't remember anything about anything, totally time blind, filled with chaotic impulses that leave him perennially scraped and bruised.

And yet on the sliding scale of kids in general, he's basically lucid.

The purpose of a system is what it does. If this wisdom was truly internalised by most people, there would be global revolution.

Seattle will be cool again if the town goes bust and all the big money runs off. It's always been a boom town, I hope it still is.

More "survived a punch" than "won a fight"

Always be looking for worse music. Never let them figure you out.

I'm a sucker for anime that isn't afraid to get weird with it. I should really look through more of Studio Trigger's catalogue.

They work so hard to be uninspiring. Right now it would take so little. Just, anything. But instead they chide us for expecting anything...

Edit: worst typo ever

It's a whole thing, I'm not going to outline the full background and theory here or I'd be late for tomorrow's lunch. If you actually care about this subject you can find that for yourself.

What actually happened then matters to me now only if someone with that intel decides to use it for a specific political aim. That's the conversation I was interested in having.

It's exactly this. It's like hetero guys falling for tomboys. That's not less hetero, it's called having taste.

Just... As an example.

My algorithm in a nutshell. I might have delved too deeply.

Made this as a quick sketch for my kid, decided to do a quick touch-up in GIMP for printing it again later.

Many stretch and folds (almost pretending I was making pan de cristal) later, this is a stupidly soft crust. Like a Neapolitan style.

I'm going to try this again soon with slightly lower hydration, more oil, more heat, and a pre-bake of the crust without toppings so it gets more of a chance to grow. Any suggestions are very welcome.

I basically was winging it with this recipe. Did one stretch and fold because it was so wet. Spent an hour in my improvised banetton. Mostly just playing with my new little Dutch oven but it might be my prettiest crusty loaf ever

Crumpets (lemmy.world)

"Cricket?? Nobody knows what cricket is. You gotta know what a crumpet is to know what cricket is." - Rafael, TMNT (1990)

I still don't know how to play cricket

Dr. My Wife looking at him like he's the shit: optional

Open to interpretation

Wife just got me a soda maker. We were sipping and chatting idly about how it's so weird that our little town doesn't offer recycling on our street. The bubbles were so strong that right on cue I was able to burp-scream WUD THE FUHHHHGHHKK about it

Seriously, what's with that

Doctor's had no explanation other than the discharge papers, can I get a hell yeah
