All these Republican Commentators posting the EXACT SAME THING is PROOF that DEMOCRATS are the Deep State!

[–] [email protected] 14 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (3 children)

You don't have to go deep into the back ranks of the Democratic Party to find candidates running on the "Stop them at the Border!" platform. FFS, this goes back to the Clinton campaign of '92, when he ran to the right of Bush Sr on immigration and won California out from under the Reagan coalition by pandering to SoCal racists and white replacement freaks.

The difference between Democrats and Republicans largely boils down to the mechanisms at play. Do we look down at our shoes and sob while muttering, "Sorry the rules say we have to shove your kids into a cage because the law says so"? Or do we give you a shit-eating grin and howl "Yeah, we're deporting you and we're going to have fun doing it!"

Do we focus our deportation efforts on anyone poor and unprotected enough to have already run afoul of our police state? Or do we actively do street sweeps with newly deputized ICE posses?

Do we tell our voters to stop saying "Defund ICE!" at campaign events because it might scare away the middle class white voter? Or do we tell our voters to start chanting "Defund California!" at campaign events because it whips the red-meat loving middle class white voter into a racist frenzy?

Do we put a silk glove over our iron fist before we punch you? Or is the silk glove Woke?

Both sides. Got it.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 week ago

I thought the difference was that only one party is kidnapping kids from school. But I see now that they're all just the same. Both sides. Got it. I guess you're still glad you didn't vote huh? I'm sure those kids are glad.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 week ago

The exact same things would be happening under Kamala. Just like how Bush/Cheney and Al Gore would have been the exact same presidents. I am very smart.

[–] [email protected] 53 points 1 week ago (6 children)

So um, do they realize "net zero" would mean that they can't deport people anymore? Because that would be net negative

[–] [email protected] 35 points 1 week ago

Many people use words not because of their commonly accepted meaning, but because of how it makes them feel. "Net zero" sounds fancy and zero is what they want.

[–] [email protected] 18 points 1 week ago

I would like Ben Shapiro, Matt Walsh and his ilk to leave, in order to make room for more hard-working immigrants. Net-zero.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

They definitely mean "net zero" as in "get rid of them all" and not "input=output"...

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 week ago

But thats net negative, not net zero :p

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 week ago

Sartre quote about anti-semites having no need to respect words.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 week ago

And what about Americans who choose to leave? Replaced 1:1 with immigration?

They have absolutely no idea what they mean with "net zero"

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 week ago

Also, I’m an American who left, so net zero also means I freed up a spot.

[–] [email protected] 38 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Well fuck that plaque at the statue of liberty, huh?

[–] [email protected] 15 points 1 week ago (1 children)

We all know that the statue's meaning has never been truly followed. Just had better moments than others.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

Well that is usually how ideals work

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 week ago

I know. It doesn't seem that it was ever truly strove for though. It's also not the most difficult thing to do. Doesn't mean that we can't work to help make it happen.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 week ago (1 children)

They already addressed that pesky little thing the first go 'round.

Mr Cuccinelli was pressed later on CNN about his comments, and pushed back on claims he was trying to re-write the poem. He insisted he was answering a question and accused people on the left of "twisting" his comments.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Oh yes, that's only for Europeans. Actually, at the time they revised the standards further. Only Protestants from Northern and Western Europe. Obviously. The US was pretending to care then, as it pretends to care now.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 week ago

They can evolve and refine their racism all they want, it's still peak ignorance. I don't get it. I've met so many great people from all over.

[–] [email protected] 32 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Serious question: where do you think these assholes are getting their talking points? Stephen Miller would be my guess but it could just as well be Russia I guess.

[–] [email protected] 14 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

Stephen Miller, puppeted by Peter Thiel. Idk if Putin really gives a fuck if we have immigrants from third world nations. He would probably support more immigration if only to stir up more anger he can manipulate on the right, honestly.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 week ago (1 children)

He would probably support more immigration if only to stir up more anger he can manipulate on the right, honestly.

Probably, but on the other hand cutting immigration is basically economic suicide for a first world country, so it would fit with his goal of weakening the United States. The ensuing recession would also provide ample opportunity to manipulate the right (and the center, which as is customary will "reluctantly" do whatever the right says).

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

Sure, but that also requires Putin to know, acknowledge and buy into the fact that immigration is in itself an economic boon, and a lack of it is stagnating. I don't know a ton about his personal politics, but it seems like he is as much a right wing ideologue as he is a manipulator of others on the right (takes one to know one?). I'm not sure he would take that viewpoint, so I dont know that he would ever take such an approach intentionally.

[–] [email protected] 21 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

All of these assholes are descendants of immigrants

[–] [email protected] 20 points 1 week ago (2 children)

That’ll leave only people immigrating from places like Europe, Japan and Australia, presumably because they’re sick of having functional health care, paid vacation, high-speed trains and/or a shortage of assault rifles.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 week ago

Yeah, why the fuck would I want to immigrate to a third world country.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 week ago

I bet you they don't want immigrants from Japan either.

[–] [email protected] 20 points 1 week ago (1 children)

But also, we need to force the births of unwanted children to maintain our population.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 week ago
[–] [email protected] 19 points 1 week ago

“This is extremely dangerous to our democracy” vibes

[–] [email protected] 19 points 1 week ago (1 children)

These morons should ask Japan how well the xenophobia is going for them.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 week ago

Well they have a second arm to this attack though you got to remember. They're going to make forced birth a thing. That's what their religious attack dogs are up to right now. Ladies I hope you like being breeding mares cuz that's the plan.

[–] [email protected] 19 points 1 week ago (1 children)

This is how you know your relative has drunk the koolaid. They sound like this, a parrot, repeating what someone else told them to say.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 week ago

I see you've met my entire family.

[–] [email protected] 16 points 1 week ago

They said the quiet part out loud, and they said it in three part harmony.

Alternatively, it was used (most prominently by Maoists) to mean non-aligned countries in the cold war.

But when these dickheads say it, they mean "brown people"

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 week ago

Build houses and fund education. I feel like I just came up with a miraculous solution to a majority of their complaints.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 week ago

Or we could just deport republicans.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 week ago

Nazis without the stylish uniforms

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 week ago

mattwalsh the trans obssesed transphobe, he speculated to be into trans porn. and jack posebic is a russian backed troll.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 week ago

Do they know that they could easily be define as a "third world" country? ^^

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (3 children)

This sucks. Wasn't Matt Walsh respectable once?

Edit: different guy. I had him confused with a respectable tech writer. The guy quoted above is NOT the respectable Matt "Running Linux" Walsh but some political hatemonger.

Thanks for the corrections, guys!

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 week ago

No, not really.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 week ago (1 children)

You might be confusing him with the actor of the same name. Dude is phenomenal on veep with Dreyfuss.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Such a shame to sully a brilliant comedians name.

I've always been a fan of sketch comedy and was fortunate to catch him on UCB when it aired but he kills it in pretty much everything. Fascist Walsh needs to fuck off so our boy can have the search results.

Bro you unlocked a core memory of watching ucb reruns late at night sleeping over at a friend's house.
