I'd argue they are the Gestapo. SS was military.

ICE is just a mob of gangsters doing hits and disappearing their rivals. They and their dear leader mob boss are committing more crimes than any of the people they claim are the criminals.

Would? Try will. It passed the house 218 to 214, all but two Republicans for and every Democrat against.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 9 hours ago

Remember when Republicans were obsessed with Waco and Ruby Ridge.

And here's a bit of a hint for the slow people out there - they don't need that many agents or that big of a budget if they're only dealing with immigrants.

[–] [email protected] 77 points 2 days ago (5 children)

Just sitting here quietly wondering what it would take to deport everyone who admitted to being a homosexual, black, Latino, or drug addict on a medical form…cause I assume that’s why DOGE wanted so much of our private information - to use it against us.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 10 hours ago

Deportations will stop soon. Remember the whole nitrogen execution thing from last year? They have the budget to build gas chambers and nobody will stop them

The leading edge of the Nazi thought machine is already saying it.

At this point, all it would take would be to successfully establish the precedent that legal citizens can have their citizenship revoked (which just requires a case getting to the Supreme Court, where the corrupt majority has already demonstrated that they're going to just rubber-stamp whatever Trump wants), then to issue an executive order declaring that [whatever quality] is [whatever has been deemed to be acceptable grounds to have ones citizenship revoked]. It would undoubtedly be challenged, but again, it would wind up in front of the Supreme Court sooner or later, and they'd rubber-stamp it

and when those excuses for hunting people run out, who do you think they will focus next to keep getting funding?

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 days ago

Whoever they deem "undesirables".

The goal is to go back to the slave system using some legal trickery and brute force. The money is there to make it happen.

[–] [email protected] 11 points 2 days ago (3 children)

Yes, though with a feudal system mixed in.

Corporations and wealthy individuals will be the sole property-owners and will play the roles of feudal lords, and the people will be serfs, allowed to live on the lords' estates only if they serve the lords.

Since homelessness will be criminalized while all property will be owned by the feudal lords, those who won't serve the lords "willingly" will be imprisoned, and yes, they will then be slaves.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 day ago (1 children)

One of the various conservative thoughts is to make large swathes of US territory governed by corporations and billionaires. Basically, non-state zones subject to rules set by non-state systems.

Surprise! They're trying to make feudal / monarchy systems. Welcome to bring peasants again, fellow peasants.

The underlying foundation of conservative thoughts was, and is, to uphold a hierarchy that supports a monarchy. It has been from day 1. The American Revolution was a war against conservatism.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 day ago

I think one of the most concise ways to conceptualize the current conservative project is that they looked at the French Revolution and the collapse of the Ancien Regime and drew the wrong conclusions.

Rather than seeing it as the inevitable result of the systemstic oppression of the majority for the obscene privilege of a select few, they see it as a failure of the select few to sufficiently protect their privilege. And their goal is to recreate the conditions of the Ancien Regime, but this time around to prevent the peasants from successfully rebelling.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 days ago

Weird how the conservative fear of "FEMA camps" was just them drooling about using them to put anyone that looks too brown in.

It absolutely eclipses the Gestapo.

The Heritage Foundation quite literally took the Nazi Germany history and said "we can do it better."

With 32,000 members, the Gestapo and adjacent effects was able to kill 21m people.

The Foundation wants 258,000,000 dead.

That $170b is going to that.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Yeah, this is some SS level shit. Or more accurately, Trump wants his own Rosgvardiya.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 day ago

National Guard is separate from the Armed Forces.[3] It became a federal executive body in 2016 by a law signed by President Vladimir Putin.

I was not familiar with Rosgvardiya turns out it was founded in 2016. Wow.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 day ago (1 children)

That's $170B, not millions.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 day ago

Ooops, I knew that too I'll correct it

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 day ago (2 children)

280,000,000 dead

Who exactly?

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

The Heritage Foundation members have stated a population around 100million would be healthy.

If 75% of Americans were culled (remember the number supposedly "saved") that ends up being near 100m or killing 258m.

65m Hispanic ancestry? 48m Black Americans? 6.5m South Asians? 5m Ethnic Chinese?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 day ago

Alright thanks.

If I remember something I read earlier, they would be better funded than the Russian military. This is insane.

[–] [email protected] 11 points 2 days ago (1 children)

The russian military literally told their soldiers to show up for war, bringing their own weapons, food, clothes, and tools.

Thats not exactly a great bar to measure funding with....

[–] [email protected] 6 points 2 days ago

They do have tanks, airplanes, and artillery though.

[–] [email protected] 40 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Money to fund gestapo US Border Patrol and ICE-IS but not enough for health care for our elderly, education for our youth, or nutrition and housing assistance for our vets.

This government is morally bankrupt. Error Code: 404

[–] [email protected] 13 points 2 days ago

Don't worry, there's plenty of money to fund israeli healthcare as well as their genocide.

[–] [email protected] 44 points 2 days ago

Wake up babe, new Sturmabteilung just dropped.

[–] [email protected] 27 points 2 days ago

I guess it's a poor situation.

[–] [email protected] 18 points 2 days ago

Largest and most expensive are two different things, most expensive could lead to largest, but I guarantee you the plan for spending that money is the size and shape of a napkin and includes a big funnel to the military and prison industrial complexs and with a sketch of some stick figures in suits throwing piles of cash at each other while laughing.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 2 days ago

the single largest federal law enforcement agency in the history of the nation

Are all those qualifiers even needed?

Are there any state or local agencies larger than the federal government’s? Are there any other countries with larger agencies? (China or India, maybe?)

Or can we just call it “the largest law enforcement agency in (western) history”?

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Wait it passed? The democrats didn't do anything to stop fascism? Who could have seen this coming?

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 day ago (2 children)

It helps when they are not the minority… with a 10% margin

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 day ago (3 children)

I'll never vote blue no matter who ever again. We are living the ongoing consequences of Biden's ongoing genocide, and y'all are way too willing to shift all the blame to Trump and GOP.

I'm certain 1 or 2 Democrats would have broken with party line to ensure it passes, we don't have 50 moral Democrats that can't be bought. They didn't need to break the illusion of being the opposition party this time.

Remember that it was under Biden that reporters were dragged out by force for asking questions about Gaza.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

"I didn't like getting a paper cut, never doing that again, I'd rather get stabbed with a rusty sword next time."

[–] [email protected] 1 points 41 minutes ago

First they came for the Palestinians in Gaza And I did not speak out Because I was not a Palestinian in Gaza

Is that clear enough yet? I've watched Americans dismiss the slaughter of our children as a papercut and describe the infinitely preferable (compared to your children being literally shredded to pieced daily, or a paper cut in your words) future of Americans who refused to vote for a viable candidate as being stabbed with a rusty sword.

And you expect us to be there for you when you're the last one left? Fuck you. You described an active Genocide as a paper cut, and the self-destruction of the American empire and the upcoming recession due partly because they got rid of cheap exploitative labor as a stab with a rusty sword. You lack historic perspective, empathy, morals, and certainly class consciousness.

The Democrats are not your friends, do you forget that Debbie W Schultz rejected our demand for Bernie and have us Hillary? That's how we got Trump the first time, and what did the Democrats do? They blamed us, the voters. You forget Hillary's contempt for Bernie voters and how she described him as an infiltrator?

America ruining itself is going to save millions of lives and give many counties the chance to recover from exploitation. You're just being a selfish fuck who's upset now that consequences are home.

Biden’s ongoing genocide

Israel were illegally seizing Palestinian land by force under 45. And Obama. And Bush. In fact pretty much as a matter of ongoing policy going back to 1948. Saying that it's still "Biden's ongoing genocide" isn't fair or reasonable when Trump is posting AI videos of himself and Netanyahu enjoying his new casino on the Gaza strip.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 34 minutes ago

Oh no not AI videos! The horror. Bring back the 2,000lbs bombs on tent encampments and leaving babies to starve to death in hospitals, bring back white phosphorus on civilians, bring back normalizing dead baby pieces hanging from the rubble. But not AI videos!!!

Biden is our Hitler, and our history books will reflect that. You're correct, the Gaza genocide is just one small chapter in the history of England and then the US colonizing Palestine.

Be consistent, if you're able to credit him for the good things he did instead of saying he's just building on what Trump left him, you should be able to recognize that he could have ended this genocide but refused.

Even if Trump was a good president/person and wanted to end it, there's nothing left of Gaza for the remaining population. Biden already wiped it out.

[–] [email protected] 16 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I am not saying Democrats are good (or not corrupted)… but blaming democrats for what Republicans are doing is apologetic to republicans

“They would have done x if they were the majority “ is just your speculation. The reality is that the US voted this… and it’s getting this

[–] [email protected] 1 points 22 hours ago (1 children)

What did I blame the Democrats for what the Republicans are doing?

Are you denying that Biden enthusiastically and fully backed the genocide?

If so, I see no point in arguing with you anymore, you're clearly still in the American politics cult. Democrats are not your friends, they just give you the illusion of someone fighting on your behalf. They are complicit in every major shift the country took to the right.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

Dude I am not even from US.

Not my circus not my monkeys.

But your arguments are flawed

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 hour ago

If my argument is flawed, you should be able to point out the flaws.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 day ago (2 children)

They have the filibuster. The thing they refused to get rid of to allow them to do good things.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 11 hours ago* (last edited 11 hours ago)

Can't filibuster a budget reconciliation bill. How many times do we have to go through this before people understand that?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 12 hours ago

Yup. The Republicans had a similar minority when they successfully gutted Obamacare to where it went from single payer to basically a website.
