Holy shit, he refused to give back the original trophy, stole a medal and then ruined the celebration. These are the hallmarks of a fricking 4 year old at someone else's birthday party!

honestly thought this was an onion article. wtf

[–] [email protected] 3 points 6 hours ago

I had to look three times.

Infantino and Trump are made to be BFFs. Not only is Infantino's name on the trophy TWICE (which is almost three times too many), but he also insisted on THIS bullshit:

[–] [email protected] 2 points 52 minutes ago (1 children)

Corrupt and disgusting sports boss from Switzerland. I’ve heard that before.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 49 minutes ago (1 children)

Yeah, except this one is actually much WORSE than Blatter, as impossible as that may seem!

[–] [email protected] 2 points 46 minutes ago* (last edited 44 minutes ago)

They also have Rene Fasel (former IIHF boss). He is Putin’s homeboy these days.

[–] [email protected] 19 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

Is that really his name? Infantino? Like "infant," but with the diminutive -ino, making it more like "little infant"?

At first I thought that was a new nickname for Trump.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 hour ago

Tbf though, they've already been insulted by having that name in the first place 🤷

[–] [email protected] 228 points 16 hours ago (2 children)

Yet another reminder that the President of the United States is profoundly mentally ill and undeniably unfit for office.

[–] [email protected] 65 points 15 hours ago

Well, he is convicted .... Just saying ....

[–] [email protected] 22 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

And a thief, among other worse things but definitely a thief.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 4 hours ago* (last edited 4 hours ago) (1 children)

Rapist is probably worse than a thief. Pedophile is arguably worse than a rapist. Not sure where to slot traitor in there.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 hour ago* (last edited 1 hour ago)

Rapist is probably worse than a thief? Dude...

[–] [email protected] 11 points 10 hours ago

This is a comedy these days. If human lifes weren't at stake, i'd just lean back and watch 5 seasons of this comedy that the US is nowadays.

[–] [email protected] 18 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

I hate how people cater to his inflated ego.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 10 hours ago

Their

Infantino is some Trump impersonator too!

[–] [email protected] 79 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

Let‘s not beat around the bush he STOLE the Club world cup trophy.

[–] [email protected] 24 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

It was given to him by that FIFA ghoul.

He should have given it to the winning team on his own but he’s too narcissistic.

I worked for a university lab and a professor in the department stole my white elephant gift because he liked it. How can you get to such a high level and be so low innately.

[–] [email protected] 21 points 13 hours ago

Clearly he'd be better suited for less professional environment, like President of the United States of America, or perhaps a Supreme Court seat that can be bought with free vacation vouchers

[–] [email protected] 3 points 10 hours ago

Dude that happened to me too lmao.

[–] [email protected] 90 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

Dumb ass was trying to act like Putin, but didn't understand who Putin steals from and why

The good news for Kraft is that he's now friends with the president of the United States

More context, the Patriots' team charter jet has been making mysterious trips to Guanatanamo Bay in recent months.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 11 hours ago

Ah fuck, they’re raping prisoners there again, aren’t they?

The man is unfit for office.

[–] [email protected] 29 points 15 hours ago

He barely fits into people clothes.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 10 hours ago

Both of them (Trump and Infantino) are. In fact, they're basically the same repulsive person in two bodies.

[–] [email protected] 15 points 15 hours ago

he's unfit to be a human.

[–] [email protected] 57 points 15 hours ago

For anyone still wondering where the bottom is, this should convince you there isn't one. A narcissist's ego is a black hole.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 11 hours ago

God, what a dumbass.

[–] [email protected] 55 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

Sure seems like FIFA is proving that Saudi buying out floors of Trump hotels makes a big difference. Open corruption being allowed was always going to result in someone turning it into a sport.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 10 hours ago

That and Infantino is pretty much the Swiss Trump.

He makes his predecessor Sepp Blatter (who was so corrupt that FIFA very publicly banned him from all football activities for 8 years, quietly reduced it by two years, and then added a further six years when they discovered even MORE corruption) look like Keanu Reeves!

[–] [email protected] 53 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

I'd refuse a replica. . It should not have left the winners unless they themselves lend it out. So i'd even refuse the original if it wasn't returned in three days or less.

[–] [email protected] 15 points 13 hours ago* (last edited 13 hours ago) (1 children)

Well the issue is they gave the actual trophy to Trump in March. It has been sitting in the Whitehouse since. Even if Trump lied about asking when they were coming to pick it up, the Whitehouse isn't someplace you just leave an object for a little while. First I imagine the secret service would want to review the device wasn't bugged being in the oval office... Second you can't just drop by to pick something up from there easily. Scheduling all that shit would be more annoyance than just making 2 up front probably.

Note: Trump did remove historical artifacts sent by Israel from the White House and move them to Mar-A-Lago, so I don't believe that this will end up in the National Archives like the article stated, it will end up as his property.

Come to think of it, I wouldn't rule it out that it IS bugged and Trump forbade the USSS from checking like he did with the unsecure phone he insisted on using for tweeting through most of his first infestation of the place 😮‍💨

I had to read the headline and source twice to believe this wasn't the Onion.

Stole their trophy and stole their valor for the win when he didn’t dismiss him self at their photo op.

Probably the only time he’s ever been part of a celebration

This is all the article says about giving it back: “They [FIFA] said: ‘Could you hold this trophy for a little while?’ We put it in the Oval Office and then I said: ‘When are you going to pick up the trophy’, and [FIFA President Gianni Infantino] said: ‘We’re never going to pick it up, you can have it forever in the Oval Office,’” Trump explained in a mid-game chat with the broadcaster, DAZN.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 10 hours ago* (last edited 10 hours ago)

To be fair, Trump says a lot of bullshit. The original story was probably „You can take some photos in the oval office with it“ and he just hallucinated the rest similiar to Google Gemini.

Breaking news: criminal steals

[–] [email protected] 19 points 14 hours ago

Isn't this the same guy who just makes up tournaments at his own golf courses that he always mysteriously "wins"?

[–] [email protected] 17 points 15 hours ago* (last edited 15 hours ago)

I had to have a double take to check that TheDailyBeast hadn't become a satire news outlet.

Anyone else saw how he had to be ushered to the back of the crowd during the trophy presentation? He really believed the cheers were for him.

Full article: https://archive.ph/kiLLx

This is hilarious let's hope it enrages millions of sports fans.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 9 hours ago

It won’t.

Everyone knows FIFA is corrupt as shit and them buddying up to a corrupt dictator is just a regular weekday.

Chelsea fans might get upset at having a replica but non-Chelsea fans will just take the piss out of this fact.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

Its the Club World Cup, it means nothing to anyone

[–] [email protected] 3 points 10 hours ago

This is how I found out that Chelsea won. This is how I knew the whole event was over. I didn't watch any of it, I don't think I even saw any highlights.

I just hope that the whole thing dies. It's an abomination. The players need a time to rest between seasons. But, FIFA is using it as a way to generate more money and maybe even a sneaky way to create the long-dreaded superleague.
